Troubleshooting Location Tracking
If location tracking isn’t working, follow these steps:
- Confirm FlexiSPY is Active (read this)
- If FlexiSPY is not active, create a support ticket from inside your customer account.
- Ensure Location Tracking is Enabled
- In your portal, go to Location > GPS Tools > Start Location Tracking > ON
- Check Data Delivery Settings
- Read this
- If location tracking still doesn't work, use the Command Tracker
- From the portal, Request On-Demand Location
- Wait 10 minutes
- Click the Bell Icon
- Compare the results you see with the results below
Command Results
Successful:
In the example above, on demand location command worked. But if automatic tracking fails, it may be due to location permissions.
- On the target device:
Open 'Settings > Apps > Sync Services > Permissions > Location'
Set to Allow all the time
Unsuccessful:
If you see the example result above, then the issue is one of the following
a. Sync Services lacks location permission
- On the device, Go to Settings > Apps > Sync Services > Permissions > Location
- Set to Allow all the time
b. Device location is OFF
- On the device, Go to Settings > Location > Location Services
- Make sure location is ON
If all else fails, create a support ticket from inside your customer account.
