What is rooting?


Rooting is a process of using a utility to grant extra permissions (like Admin rights) to a specific app.  This is needed to install System Module. However, most FlexiSPY features do not require root.

Rooting is safe since you only choose which specific app to grant the extra permissions to, in this case FlexiSPY.

For devices with Android OS 11 and above, rooting is only required for the following features:
  • Best possible Suppression of Indicators
  • Enhanced Call Recording

How to get help with rooting

Because rooting is different for every Android device, getting it rooted successfully can be tricky.  Luckily there are two main ways to help you root an Android device.

  • If you would like to root your device yourself, there are many rooting guides available, and you should be able to simply search for your device + rooting guide using Google.
